This is the best milk I’ve ever made. EVER. It is so insanely creamy, and perfect for iced drinks. Cough cough, I’m talking to my matcha and coffee lovers. Creamy banana cashew milk is so decadent, delicious, and tastes like melted vanilla ice cream.
I love pairing this banana cashew milk with iced matcha lattes and plantain syrup. In a recent video, I talked about the latte I made with the milk and syrup, and hundreds of thousands of you all were obsessed!
Grab the recipe to my homemade plantain syrup here. This banana cashew milk also tastes heavenly with a homemade hojicha latte.
What you’ll Need- Banana Milk
-
Banana– Duh, it’s the star of the show!
-
Cashews– The creamy base of this decadent milk, feel free to also use almonds!
-
Vanilla Bean– Makes the milk taste like ice cream, I would highly recommend over regular vanilla extract
-
Medjool Dates or Maple Syrup– I prefer the taste and richness the dates give

How to make Banana Cashew Milk
Step One:
Soak your cashews overnight or 15 minutes using hot water. If you’re covering your cashews in hot water, be sure to cover the bowl they’re in.
Step Two:
Once your cashews have soaked, add all the ingredients into your blender and blend until well combined.
Strain and enjoy chilled!
I use my my Nama M1 Plant Based Milk Maker to make all my at home milks. I love this machine! It was so easy and I didn’t have to strain anything.
Simply put all the ingredients into your blender and click the button, out comes high quality barista style milk. If you’re interested, use this link and code ITATEATSM1 for 10% off.
How to store Banana Cashew Milk
Due to the fresh fruit (banana) in this milk, it will last for about 3 MAYBE 4 days. My household always finishes this in about 2 days, especially when using it in my iced matcha lattes!
Feel free to store what you can’t finish into ice trays. They will melt into your lattes without diluting flavour the way water ice cubes would!
