What is Holistic Herbal Pink Lemonade?

This herbal holistic pink lemonade for period cramps is exactly what the name says! It’s a healthy drink, made from natural ingredients and free from refined sugar.

Sweetened by juicing fresh pineapple and lemons, the womb healing component of this pink lemonade comes from the herbs we steep with the water.

This herbal pink lemonade is absolutely packed with yoni liberating, womb healing ingredients. Raspberry leaf is highly nutritious and may help to ease the ‘period poops’ and nausea that can come with menstruation.

Nettle is an all around favorite and kitchen must have for me. Some people know this herb to help with spring time allergies/hay fever, but it can do so much more too.

It is high in iron, and may be able to help replenish the levels that were lost/lowered during bleeding. Nettle may also help with cramping. Chamomile is often times known as the sleep agent tea. Well it does that, and has other beenfits too sis!

Chamomile may help with the mood swings that come with cycles, and may contribute to a lighter flow. This flower also makes the lemonade taste super floral and delicious!

Overall, these herbs are absolutely god sends, and make this beverage extremely healing for the women that drink it.

How to make Pink Lemonade for Period Cramps

Step One:

woman pouring hot water into a mason jar with herbs

In a HEAT SAFE mason jar (or a mug, whatever you prefer) combine your hot water with your raspberry leaf, nettle, and chamomile.

Allow this to sit for at least 15 minutes, but the longer the better. I allowed mine to seep for about 2 hours to when it was completely cooled.

**Be sure to save your pineapple skins! they’re highly nutritious and can make an incredible Jamaican pineapple skin tea.

Step Two:

pink juice pouring out of a juicer spout

While your tea is seeping, juice your pineapple, lemons, and frozen peaches. Strain if necessary.

If you’re using a blender, blend with just enough water for the produce to efficiently blend and juice, then strain.

Step Three:

pink lemonade in a tall plastic container

Once your tea has seeped for a good amount of time and cooled, strain & combine it with the pineapple juice.

Served chilled over ice and enjoy!

How to Store Pink Lemonade for Period Cramps

This homemade herbal pink lemonade can store in the fridge for 3-5 days. If it even lasts that long! This beverage is so delicious that it would last about 2-3 days for me.

When storing, be sure to use a mason jar or other higher quality item so that it stays fresh for as long as possible. Freezing is also an option.

Notes

*Pink pineapple was expensive! (about $5.99, regular pineapples where I live are typically $2.99-$3.49). I was just browsing Kroger, found it, and thought it would be fun to create a unique recipe with this. Don’t feel pressured to buy it if you don’t want to. To keep the pink color, you can use a regular pineapple and add about 1 teaspoon of pitaya (dragon fruit) or beet root powder (((:
