We’ve all tried pies, french fries, and even smoothies made with sweet potatoes but have you ever tried them raw in a juice? This raw sweet potato pie juice is going to absolutely blow you away with not only its taste but also the amazing health benefits!

You may be reading this wondering if its safe to consume raw sweet potato. Don’t worry, I had the same fear as well. Sweet potatoes can be consumed raw in small amounts, they surprisingly offer a list of health benefits to the human body.

Health benefits of sweet potatoes

When cooked, sweet potato are loaded with antioxidants due to their rich orange colour. They may even help the gut and boost the immune system. On the other hand, raw sweet potatoes include a great amount of nutrients and vitamins as too!

When juiced raw, they’re rich in iron, may regulate blood sugar levels, and may assist in digestion or even constipation. I’ll tell you once I finished drinking this juice I had a bowel movement almost immediately.

What you’ll need

This juice recipe only requires a few ingredients and yields and incredibly rich flavour profile. I was able to get about 16 ounces of juice from all of these ingredients. Feel free to adjust where you see fit such as adding more sweetness or etc.

How to make Sweet potato pie juice

1. Thoroughly wash the fresh fruit and veggies with apple cider vinegar. Chop into appropriately sized pieces to fit your juicer or blender.

2. Juice the fresh produce and strain. Then add in the nutmeg and cinnamon. Whisk to evenly combine.

3. Serve over ice or as is and enjoy!

How to store Sweet potato pie juice

Raw sweet potato pie juice is best consumed right after juicing. When using a regular high speed juicer, nutrients can be lost as soon as 30 minutes after making. However when using a cold press juicer, those nutrients can be kept up to 3 days in the fridge before losing essential nutrients.
