Healing your cycle naturally- Period Pain Relief Juice Recipe
As a person that used to be crippling in pain during that time of the month, I’ve always searched high and low for period pain relief remedies.
I’ve tried to take pain killers that don’t necesarily help. Tried to rest the pain away, and even tried to be active and go on runs! The method I’ve found that truly controls how my period will be is what I eat and my emotions/stress levels leading up to that cycle.
As women, we lose lots of blood during our 3-7 day cycle and it is imporant to replenish the iron lost. I’ve purposefully selected moringa and bok choy as these have adequate amounts of iron and vitamin c.
However, these leafy greens can easily be replaced with Caribbean callaloo or dandelion as they both have good amounts of iron.
Recommended Juicer- Period Pain Relief Juice Recipe
I make all of my juices with one of the best slow coldpress juicers in the world, the Kuvings REVO830. It is a bit pricey but has a generous 15 year warranty and can also make nut milks, sorbet, ice cream, and of course juices.
The pulp produced is also extremely dry which means you get the most out of your money. When I had a cheaper high speed juicer, the pulp was extremely wet and I had to run it through several times.
Kuvings also offers other models at affordable prices as well as a monthly payment plan.

How to make Period Pain Relief Juice Recipe
Step One:
Cut your produce in the appropriate size for your juicer or blender.
Step Two:
Juicer: Juice the product in the juicer and strain if necessary. If using moringa powder, stir and properly combine it now. Serve over ice and enjoy!
Blender: Add extra water/coconut water if necessary for blending. Place everything into a blender and blend with the fresh produce until everything is combined. Strain with a nut milk bag or strainer and enjoy.
How to store Period Pain Relief Juice Recipe
Storing depends on the method of juice extraction. If using a blender/high speed juicer, the juice should be consumed right away. These methods only allow the juice to keep its nutrients for 30 minutes up to one day. However, if you use a cold press juicer, the nutrients will also for up to 72 hours or 3 days.
Freezing is also a method. Store in a BPA free plastic water bottle (NOT GLASS!) and freeze for up to 2 weeks. When its time to consume, let it thaw out for a few hours and enjoy!
