Sugar Free cranberry sauce is sweetened with agave syrup and freshly squeezed orange juice to give it the perfect holiday feel. However, feel free to use other refined sugar free sweeteners you may have on hand like maple or date syrup!

What You’ll Need

vanilla, orange juice, agave syrup, cinnamon, and fresh cranberries
  • Fresh Cranberries- (they’re super cheap when they’re in season!)
  • Orange Juice- I made my own from fresh oranges
  • Agave Syrup
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Cinnamon

What to Serve with Sugar Free Cranberry sauce?

This cranberry sauce is SO delicious, you won’t even miss the refined sugar! This sauce doesn’t only have to be served alongside a Thanksgiving main, it’s super versatile and has plenty of health benefits too!

Here are some unique ways outside of the typical Thanksgiving feast to eat Cranberry sauce.

Yogurt Parfait- Dolloped on top of a parfait as the not-so cherry on top!

Muffins– Adds a unique tang inside of muffins, mmm yummy!

Oatmeal– Add some in your daily oatmeal for a burst of vitamin c and antioxidants.

Salads– In my opinion, salads are WAY better with a sweet element and this sugar free cranberry sauce can easily elevate any salad!

How to make Sugar Free Cranberry Sauce

Step One:

Combine all your ingredients into a small non stick sauce pan. Turn the heat on medium with the cover on the pot and allow this to reach boil.

When the cranberry sauce reaches a boil, turn it to medium-low and start to stir.

Step Two:

Allow the cranberries to simmer for about 5-7 minutes. The cranberries will slowly start to soften burst one by one. Using a spatula, gently stir, the cranberries should start to turn jammy quickly.

Step Three:

After the 5-7 minutes is up, the cranberry sauce should be ready! If needed, use a fork to mash any leftover larger chunks. Serve alongside a main dish and enjoy!

How to Store

Store your homemade sugar free cranberry sauce in a mason jar or airtight container and keep in the fridge for about 14 days.

You can always freeze in ice cubes or plastic baggies for up to one month if you need them longer!
