One a hot summer day, you need something nice and refreshing to cool you down. Cantaloupe is a perfect hydration source and contains over 90% water making it similar to its cousin, watermelon. When its in season, I also love to juice seeded watermelon and have another recipe for that as well!
Health Benefits of Cantaloupe
This melon not only tastes wonderful, but is so good for you! Packed with electrolytes, cantaloupe helps to strengthen the immune system and contains the daily recommended amount of vitamin c. Recommended Juicer
I make all of my juices with one of the best slow coldpress juicers in the world, the Kuvings REVO830. It is a bit pricey but has a generous 15 year warranty and can also make nut milks, sorbet, ice cream, and of course juices.
The pulp produced is also extremely dry which means you get the most out of your money. When I had a cheaper high speed juicer, the pulp was extremely wet and I had to run it through several times. Kuvings also offers other models at affordable prices as well as a monthly payment plan.
Check out the Kuvings USA (or whichever country your location is) website to view other models such as the C700 and Ev0820. Be sure to use my code ITALEATS during checkout to receive 10% off all the juice models Kuvings has to offer!
How to Make Cantaloupe Juice
Cut your produce according to how big your juicer/blender is.
Juicer: Juice your produce and strain if necessary. Serve over ice and enjoy!
Blender: Squeeze your oranges and place the juice into the blender. If not enough liquid, add more fresh orange juice, coconut water, or spring water. Blend until all ingredients are smooth. Strain with a nut milk bag and enjoy!
How to store cantaloupe Juice
Storage depends on the type of juice extraction that was used. If using a Kuvings cold press juicer, the juice can store up to 72 hours (3 days) in the fridge. However if using a blender or cheaper high speed juicer, the juice should store in the fridge 30 minutes, no longer than 24 hours (1 day).
This juice can safely be frozen for 1-2 weeks if stored in a BPA free plastic water bottle! Don’t try storing in glass jars though. They’re more likely to crack due to pressure.
