Cuisine American
- 3/4 Cup Medjool dates soft and soaked
- 1 Cup Walnuts
- 2.5 Tablespoons Cacao Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
- Pinch Nutmeg
Soak your dates in hot water for about 5-10 minutes or one hour in room temp water if you want your energy balls to be fully free from heat.
Secondly, combine all the ingredients (the walnuts, soft dates, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cacao powder) into a blender or food processor and pulse until evenly combined. Scrape the sides if needed in between pulsing intervals.Friendly Note; A blender is not the best equipment to use for this recipe. Food processor is much preferred as it does a better job at mixing and incorporating the ingredients. If you have to use a blender, be patient and scrape the sides. Try not to add water because this can change the texture and taste of the energy balls. Roll the mixture into your preferred size balls, store in the fridge, and enjoy!
