Servings 8 Energy Balls

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Medjool dates soft and soaked
  • 1 Cup Walnuts
  • 2.5 Tablespoons Cacao Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • Pinch Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Soak your dates in hot water for about 5-10 minutes or one hour in room temp water if you want your energy balls to be fully free from heat.
  • Secondly, combine all the ingredients (the walnuts, soft dates, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cacao powder) into a blender or food processor and pulse until evenly combined. Scrape the sides if needed in between pulsing intervals.
Friendly Note; A blender is not the best equipment to use for this recipe. Food processor is much preferred as it does a better job at mixing and incorporating the ingredients. If you have to use a blender, be patient and scrape the sides. Try not to add water because this can change the texture and taste of the energy balls.
  • Roll the mixture into your preferred size balls, store in the fridge, and enjoy!
