1-2TeaspoonsCeremonial Trade Matcha PowderI like mine on the stronger end and usually do 1.5-2 tsp
1CupCoconut or almond MilkI prefer coconut
1OunceWarm waterabout 2 tbs, NEVER boiling water!
1-2TablespoonsStrawberry Jam
1/2CupIce
Instructions
First, soak your whisk in hot water for a few minutes. This will help to lengthen the life and health of your whisk. While that is soaking, go ahead and sift your matcha powder into a small bowl through a strainer. This step is a MUST as you don't want any clumps in your drink!
Using warm (NEVER boiling, you don't want to burn your mathcha!!!) water, pour in about 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of water and whisk in an M shape in your bowl for about 60 seconds. You know this match 'shot' is ready once you see bubbly foam on the top.
Grab about 1-2 tablespoons of your favorite flavor strawberry Jam (yes, we're using a strawberry jam because tis easier and much cheaper than getting real strawberries!) and spread it around the surface of your cup.Gently place in your ice cubes and pour over your choice of milk (my favourites are pistachio, almond, cashew, or coconut). Now, slowly pour in the matcha and watch the gorgeous colors combine! Get a straw in there and enjoy!
