Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Walnuts measured dry
  • 4 Cups Water
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla optional
  • Pinch Himalayan Salt optional

Instructions

  • You want to start by soaking your walnuts in water overnight or for at least 4 hours. This process helps to soften the nuts to blend better and release phytic acid, a compound found in nuts (and uncooked beans) that can sometimes make your belly hurt.
Once your walnuts have properly soaked, put all of your ingredients into a blender and pulse for anywhere in between 45-60 seconds.
  • After blending, the hemp milk should be frothy, creamy. Grab a nut milk bag and strain the pulp from the liquid.
The pulp can be saved for baking, don't throw it away! Store in a mason jar in the fridge for up to 5 days and enjoy!
